Local before arrival
Located right near Ku'damm, KaDeWe and the reopened BIKINI HAUS (the world's first concept shopping mall), the former center of West Berlin is now home to an exciting mixture of old and new. Located opposite the legendary cinema ZOO Palast, the Motel One Upper West took its inspiration from Berlin's film glamour. This is where UFA studios' silent movie stars once hosted parties and Berlinale films celebrated their premieres. In the stylish Panorama Bar on the 10th floor, portraits of well-known German actors, photographed by star photographer Jim Rakete, remind us that Berlin has always been a city of creativity. Berliners and guests from all over the world meet here to enjoy the view and drinks at sunset.
