This park is a modern-day Paseo: a meeting point for those who don’t want to be alone, an open space that brings people together. The green island offers a chance to slow down and rest amid the hubbub of the Mission District, with its seemingly always-moving multicultural scene. In the summer, the park becomes a cultural experience in itself, with an open-air movie theater, stands selling ice cream and sweets, and the accompanying vanity fair.
