Local before arrival
Vinyl collectors and fanatics will feel right at home in these walls. The former halls of Aquarius Records—the city’s oldest independent record shop—now host the Oakland-based label Superior Viaduct. The goal is nevertheless the same: to collect an exquisite selection of rare finds under one roof. The knowledgable salespeople are always happy to assist and might even turn visitors on to some new tunes. You can easily spend the whole day here flipping through record covers and traveling back to an age bygone.
