This falafel joint has been around since 1971 and is an established institution in Greenwich Village. Three chickpea-balls for $1 – and classics like hummus, baba ghanoush, shawarma and more. There is no seating room here, but the nearby Washington Square Park provides ample space to enjoy your bite. Mamoun’s is especially popular in the late hours of the night when everyone’s thirst has been quenched but their hunger just gets going.
