The very model of an old Berlin tavern, complete with antlers, liquor barrels and “shot organs.” This is the perfect place to shoot historical films about the imperial age, like The Captain of Koepenick starring Harald Junker. Once located within the dead zone, people from both East and West once kicked back beers here. This is perhaps the only pub with a personal letter from John F. Kennedy, who was invited by the host to visit prior to his 1963 visit to Berlin. The chicken here is the most famous in town, known for its addictiveness.
