Originally constructed in 1926 to hold collections from the Dutch colonies, the Tropenmuseum now presents art and culture from around the world with the help of different types of modern media. The exhibitions about “The World of Music,” and Indonesia and New Guinea are particularly popular with visitors—and truly unique.
