Local before arrival
A lounge now occupies the spot where daily newspapers once ran off the printing press. Canvas has opened its doors in the former cafeteria on the 8th floor of the old “Volkskrant” building. The panoramic terrace, once reserved for newspaper staff, is a new hot spot in Amsterdam. From the inside, lounge music spills out onto the terrace, the mood is relaxed, the crowd is mixed, and the sunsets are spectacular. Canvas offers a short food menu, a long drinks menu, and a wide variety of events on weekends.
