Local before arrival
In the 22@ district, former industrial facilities are gradually being transformed into sites for new technologies and innovative companies. Can Framis, the Museum of Contemporary Catalan Painting, opened here in 2009. BAAS Architects clad two buildings of an old wool mill in gray paint so the existing structures form a harmonious whole with the new construction made of exposed concrete. Visitors start on the top level and move downwards as they explore the exhibitions.
