Local before arrival
The industrial area between Plaça de les Glòries, Avinguda Diagonal, and the beach is structured by a new urbanism. Completed in 2008, the office high-rise designed by David Chipperfield and b720 Fermín Vázquez Arquitectos is part of the new Campus Audiovisual. What makes the building’s skin unique are the seemingly random arrangement of room-height windows which give the façade an abstract character, as well as the vertical fiberglass-reinforced concrete panels colored in earth tones.
