Local before arrival
With its wrought-iron Modernista façade, La Boqueria is considered the most beautiful market in all of Spain. Located right on Les Rambles, it is a paradise for food lovers. Fruit is neatly arranged in piles, slabs of jamón ibérico hang cheek by jowl, manchego of varying degrees of ripeness is stacked high. If you get hungry—all but inevitable—check out Pinotxo. At their tiny 45 sq. ft. stand, they prepare tasty Catalan delicacies.
