Local before arrival
Late 2015, a new smoking bar has opened right next to Marienplatz in the south of Stuttgart. The owner has transformed a former room furnishings store into a minimalist retro bar by the sweat of his own hands and placed fresh beer and proper gin on the menu. The weekend here sounds like scratchy soul, funk and hip-hop LPs, and we couldn’t recommend a better place to have a good drink. Indeed, a more agreeable combination of rustic and modern is difficult to come by elsewhere in this city.
