This is one of those places where you learn to understand local patriotism. Amongst serenely idyllic environs, you can gaze out over the hills that were once decorated with castles that now frame the valley basin and the city center—the perfect spot for an after-work beer or a glass of wine on a warm summer’s eve. The teahouse was built in 1913 by a soap manufacturer who wanted to create a meeting place for his wife’s friends. For himself, he built a tennis court underneath with the Marble Hall, a place for celebrations that is still popular today.
