The Montjuïc and the botanical garden of 35 a are well worth a visit, if only for the views of the olympic facilities and the city. The garden was developed by an interdisciplinary team encompassing architects Carles Ferrater and Josep Lluís Canosa, landscape planner Bet Figueras, a garden designer, and a biologist. They arranged the plantings in a grid structure that matches the mountain’s topography and divides the garden into geographical zones, which also avoided the need for extensive soil cutting.
