In addition to exhibitions, the Museu d’Historia de Barcelona offers guided tours at authentic historic locations in the city—such as the Refugi 307 air raid shelter from the Spanish Civil War. Extending slightly over 1,300 feet at the foot of Montjuïc, this tunnel system was constructed in 1937 as a refuge for civilians in the wake of the first bombing. Hundreds of such shelters exist, however none of them are currently open to the public.
