Local before arrival
The over 100 years old history of the peddled Turkish confection can be only guessed at when entering this shop. The little cubes called Lokum are made out of Turkish honey, covered with powdered sugar, and have a special appeal. No matter which one of the taste nuances from pistachio, rose water, or hazelnut unfold on your tongue—a good Lokum can be recognized by its disposition not to stick to your teeth. During a visit, even the cultured among the people of Berlin can learn something about foreign delicacies.
