Local before arrival
As early as 1907, Lorenz Adlon ran a wine store at this very location. With his impressive selection of wines, the founder of Hotel Adlon served as imperial and royal purveyor to the court. According to this tradition, the wine shop that opened here in 2008 boasts an assortment of more than half a million bottles, most of them from European wine-growing districts. The store’s wine concierge club is noteworthy for offering a service of monthly wine packages, chosen by chief sommelier Thomas Hönigschmid, to its paying members.
