50 years ago, it was still a gasworks; today the industrial facility with its gasometer, brick buildings, and an old draw bridge is a cultural hotspot. It houses not only an art house movie theater, a television studio, a jazz club, and the city theater, but also a multitude of art galleries, designer stores, restaurants, and cafés and bars.
