Local before arrival
Fans of architecture will fall in love with this museum. The complex is an excellent example of Amsterdam School architecture from the early 20th century. Known as “the workers’ palace,” Het Schip is one of Amsterdam’s many brick buildings featuring masonry patterns, reliefs, and sculptures. The museum offers visitors the opportunity to take a look behind the façade, with an interior that still pleases to this day.
