Niederdorf, with its small stores, is an alternative to the chic Bahnhofstrasse. In the evenings, as people meet each other in the tight old town alleys for aperitifs, it becomes hub for bustling nightlife. The Rössli is in the middle of it all – in an approximately 600-year-old townhouse – landmarked open masonry combines with modern art. The rooms are comfortable, but furnished in a restrained manner. Those who decide to take full part in the nightlife should know: they’ll be woken by the bells of the nearby Grossmünster in the morning.
