To the surprise of many in the Berlin art scene, Martin Klosterfelde closed his gallery in the summer of 2013, after 18 years and 104 exhibits, with the goal of switching to an auction house. The gallery archive can, however, still be visited after making a special reservation—and it’s worth it. The gallery was one of the most successful in the city and has an entire arsenal of contemporary artists on its roster, including young talents like Jorinde Voigt and Ulrike Kuschel.
