Local before arrival
Owner Barbara Ruetz has a focused and powerful concept: She presents international contemporary art by artists who have already made a name for themselves in their home countries but whose big breakthrough has yet to happen. The exhibitions change every eight weeks, usually encompassing paintings and sculptures that enter into a dialog with each other—and the Pinakothek complex across the street. The result is a juxtaposition of exciting new discoveries and works that have stood the test of time.
