Local before arrival
The SALT Foundation sees itself as an interface between science and culture. It wants to provoke, enthrall, and encourage visitors to enter into a dialog. The open character of the program and spaces invites visitors to explore critical issues in the urban culture of modern Turkey. The diversity of the old Ottoman Bank building reflects this undertaking: It houses the Research Center, the Open Archive, a bookstore, a café, and the SALT gallery.
