There surely aren’t many corner pubs that were founded in 1670 under the name “Robin Hood” and renamed in 1754 into “Red Lion.” This one was, and as such bears a long history. Bands like Led Zeppelin, Genesis and Roxy Music performed here in the ’70s. After a closure, the pub has reopened its doors and been given a new lease on life. Old and new meet inside, whilst the garden is furnished with wooden furniture and a cinema screen. This gastropub is happening at any time of day.a
