Inaugurated at the beginning of the 17th century, the oldest square in Paris is characterized by its sense of unity. Shaped in a near-perfect square, it is lined with red brick mansions and their grey slate roofs. Each one has its own story, which can be discovered as you stroll around this, the first constructed leisure area in France. In the summer, the square’s 19th century trees will protect you from the sun, while in winter the arcades allow the drinking of tea to continue, out of the rain.
