An elegant respite from the busy streets of Midtown West, Obao’s alluring, dark-walled, and honey-lit interior, with hanging lamps and delicate gold streamers, will make you think you have wandered into a Southeast-Asian temple. The golden Buddha statues, though, are less likely to be worshipped than the food.
