The modern moondoo was formerly known as the Top Ten, and the Beatles had a permanent gig there. DJ Afrika Islam, the legendary New Yorker, now spins discs in the Charlie Funk Show. This elegant nightclub, which opened in 2008 in the building on the Reeperbahn, is currently the most popular address in the city. With its modern mix of electro, disco, and funk, the moondoo occasionally attracts celebrities.
