Local before arrival
Tea trading has a long history in the Speicherstadt, the old warehouse district in the port of Hamburg. So it comes as no surprise that tea merchant Meßmer devoted a whole world of tea to its visitors. After learning all about the fine leaves in the museum, you should spend some time in the elegant lounge overlooking the water. Pastries, savory snacks, and more than 70 varieties of the hot brew are served. On sunny days there is nothing more relaxing than sipping an iced tea on the terrace.
