The wood paneling of the executive suites still harbors a few shell splinters—traces of World War ll intentionally left in place. Sir Rocco Forte and his team have preserved the history of the building and fused it with ultra-modern conveniences. Right on Bebelplatz, constructed at the end of the 19th century and used as a bank until 1945, this is one of the city’s most prestigious addresses.
