The Chinese-American architect I.M. Pei’s new four-floored construction, which was completed in 2004, is the setting for the special exhibitions at the Deutsches Historisches Museum. The building’s curved façade with its glass stair tower and the entirely glass-paned foyer with multiple fields of view fit perfectly into its historical surroundings. In the adjoining baroque armoury the DHM presents its permanent exhibition about German history in a European context.
