DEUTSCHES CURRYWURST MUSEUM
PHOTOS MAPS

What might initially sound like a top destination for bachelor parties is actually a place that displays a piece of German cultural and social history. When in 1949 snack stand owner Herta Heuwert poured her sauce consisting of tomato paste and curry powder over a boiled sausage, she probably never realized that it would become such a big hit. The Art Directors Club presented the award for “Communication in Space” to the organizers of this permanent exhibit.
