Local before arrival
Parts of this park earned the Site of Special Scientific Interest award from English Nature in honour of its 25 ponds, swamps, old forest areas, hedges, and patches of grass. Apart from the botanic variety, there are many other reasons for taking a trip to this place: tennis and playing fields, an outdoor pool and swimming ponds, as well as opportunities for fishing and model boating.
