Fernanda is São Paulo’s most up-and-coming fashion designer. A woman with Japanese-Brazilian roots, she combines subdued jungle colors and airy patterns on gauze. A paper gull may even be hovering over the clothes. All fabrics, down to the single fibers, are manufactured in Brazil but she also draws stylistic inspiration from her other home—her latest collection, for example, was based on the look of Japanese housewives in the 1970s.
