Think opera audiences are all 80-somethings sporting Zimmer frames and opera glasses? Not at the English National Opera. With many tickets priced below £20, the company attracts a far younger audience, eager to embrace their programme. Still not a fan? A trip to the ENO’s home at The London Coliseum is still worthwhile. Designed by Frank Matcham for Sir Oswald Stoll, the building, described back when it was built in 1904 as a 'people's palace of entertainment', is a sight to behold.
