Ivelina and Pavel have both loved cooking and baking since they were children. When the young Bulgarian couple moved to Amsterdam a few years ago, one thing was clear: The passion they shared would become a real place. Their café feels a bit like your grandma’s kitchen and a bit like the living room of an art student (which Ivelina once was), with collages as wallpaper and furniture from the flea market. Pavel drew inspiration for his succulent quiches, cakes, and sandwiches from a book about “modern cuisine”—published in 1910.
