Local before arrival
In the German Democratic Republic’s former grand boulevard, Jan Deubel and David D’Aubeterre have opened a store that is so cozy, you almost want to move into it. Vintage rarities from around Europe are displayed here, such as designer pieces from the ’50s to the ’80s and lounge chairs from the Netherlands or table lamps from Denmark. Each piece has either been perfectly maintained or carefully restored. Pillowcases and arts and crafts from South America add bursts of color throughout.
