Deep in the heart of the 4th arrondissement, this institution has been the place to enjoy Alsatian specialties in an ambiance reflective of the Belle Époque—with tufted bench seats, beveled mirrors, interplaying lights and paintings—for over 150 years. The authenticity of the dishes here, such as the “Best of the Sea” sauerkraut (with whole lobster, monkfish, scallops, and more, served on a bed of sauerkraut), has kept guests returning over the years. It’s easy to see why many consider this place to be one of the city’s best.
