“Bike & Ride” has been Amsterdam’s unofficial motto for decades. Innovative and cool, the Fietsflat is the first parking garage for bicycles in the world. The architects designed an approximately 100-metre-long and 14-metre-deep building, in which 2,500 bicycles can be stored across three floors. Thanks to free parking and around-the-clock surveillance, Fietsflat has become a hit with the locals. In any case, it’s also good for the environment.
