Local before arrival
Although some events at Villa Massimo are limited to invited guests, visitors can always tour the gallery, the main building dating from the early 20th century, and the park with sculptures that include ancient pieces. Several times a year, Villa Massimo hosts public events where the Academy’s scholarship recipients—German artists from the visual arts, composition, literature, and architecture—offer insight into their work.
