OBA was founded in 1919, but with the relocation of the Central Library in 2010, it became a star attraction. Architect Jo Coenen successfully blended lighting effects, modern design, and a thoughtful use of space to create a unique atmosphere. The library attracts thousands of visitors every day, and not just because of the books, magazines, and multimedia department with ball chairs: The ten-story building also features two theaters for children and adults, and a restaurant with a roof terrace.
