Local before arrival
MACRO has two locations: its traditional home in the former buildings of beer brewery Peroni in the Salario district, recently expanded with an addition designed by French architect Odile Decq, and in a former slaughterhouse from the 19th century in the Testaccio district. Both MACRO locations show contemporary Italian and international art. In addition to works from its own permanent collections, MACRO also presents alternating exhibitions.
