Local before arrival
The work of national and international contemporary artists provides an exciting contrast to the 17th-century Palazzo Santacroce. This gallery, which was founded in 2003, boasts a roster of highly successful artists, such as German painter Anselm Kiefer, Canadian photographer Jeff Wall, as well as some of the big names of the “Young British Artists” group, like Tracey Emin, Gary Hume, and Rachel Whiteread. In addition, the gallery is dedicated to supporting up-and-coming talent.
