After four successful years running a fine dining establishment at the same location, Bastian Hartwig has decided it's time for a change. The wineglasses still bear the old restaurant's name, but the new wine bistro concept has shrunken the menu and generously expanded the wine selection. Sommelier Ferdinand von Boeselager has selected circa 150 European wines, with a focus on organic and natural vineyards. This is an excellent chance to taste rare finds by the glass from the selection of 70 open bottles. But lots has also stayed the same - the famous steak tartare still goes great with any glass, the predominantly wooden interior is cozy and relaxed, and in spite of the central location this isn't just a hyped-up bar. The knowledgeable staff explain wine selections with attention and a smile.
