Influences of different cultures can be seen in the furnishings of Gitane, just as they can be found in the culture of gypsies after which the restaurant is named. The interior designers combined vintage chandeliers with hand-printed wallpapers, and kitschy tapestries with a solid wooden bar and a cabinet with dusty wine bottles. The menu is an equally wild potpourri: The dishes created by Bridget Batson and Patrick Kelly are a mixture of Spanish, French, and Middle Eastern ingredients.
