Javier de las Muelas is the uncrowned king of Barcelona’s cocktail bar scene, and his Dry Martini, located on a corner in Eixample, is a bastion of elegant bar culture. Everything is exactly as it should be and is reminiscent of the Hemingway Bar at the Ritz in Paris, from its wood-paneled walls to the barkeepers’ uniforms with white jacket and red tie. It goes without saying that the iconic martini is served stirred and not shaken.
