Adjacent to the Aurelian Walls and in the shadow of the Pyramid of Cestius you’ll find the “Non-Catholic Cemetery for Foreigners in Testaccio”—that is the official name of this small protestant cemetery established circa 1730 and in continuous use since then. Many famous visitors to the Eternal City are buried here, including English poets Keats and Shelley, politician Antonio Gramsci, and Goethe’s son August.
