Local before arrival
This office complex from the ’80s was transformed by Valode & Pistre in 2006 and integrated into the new university district. The building’s structure remained unchanged, but its gables were covered with metal grids that extend like waves over the terraced façade down to the courtyard. They serve as climbing structures for plants which protect the offices from the sun. The central square transformed into a green oasis illustrates how the building’s usage has changed.
