If you like combining dishes and sharing your meal, this is the place for you. Self-named "Kitchen tinkerer" Jann-M Hoffmann and "wine freak" Stefan Iseli provide culinary delights with so-called “Es(s)kapaden“ – a German play on words that translates to Eating Escapades. Swiss-style tapas with their accompanying wines are ideal for couples and groups to taste all sorts of delicacies, from cream of corn with chilli, roasted salsify, red cabbage with blackcurrant cream cheese or lentil and chick-pea sandwichs with roasted fennel. The bright dining room is furnished with black-stained furniture, but this should not be interpreted as a political statement. If anything, red would be the more appropriate choice considering the building’s history as a safe space for the cooperative of proletarian youth and left-wing thinkers, which has since been renewed and is now known as the "Bonlieu Booperative for Living and Culture".
