Integrated into Vienna’s MuseumsQuartier and founded in 1993, the center for architecture Az W profits from its location in one of the most beautiful collections of Viennese Baroque buildings by Fischer von Erlach. The Az W holds exhibitions, lectures, and excursions, has a large archive, boasts a comprehensive database of (primarily Austrian) architecture, and has a public library with almost 30,000 titles. The café and restaurant Milo designed by Anne Lacaton and Jean Philippe Vassal has a striking vaulted ceiling clad with ornamental tiles.
