Somewhere at the nexus of an American sports bar and a Swabian pub, Ackermanns has been the original address in Stuttgart’s West Quarter for a well-curated and properly served selection of fine whiskeys and beers in a congenial atmosphere since 1997. The name is a reference to Bertold Brecht’s hero of The Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny, which features the song “Whiskey bar”. Come here for great German food and enjoy sports nights and fresh Guinness in a mixed crowd of business people and bohemians rubbing elbows at the 12-meter long bar.
