Local before arrival
The modernization of this apartment hotel in the avant-garde East End of London was a considerable challenge. This listed building combines two different architectural directions: Art deco and interiors dating from the reign of Edward VII. Rare Architects completed this mission with bravura, combining these styles with contemporary elements to once more bring out the shine of days gone by. In the foyer, staircase, bar, and restaurant, installations by local artists are on show.
